Director Corporate Funding
Caterpillar Inc. is searching for an experienced Director of Corporate Funding who will be based at Caterpillar's Corporate Headquarters in Irving, Texas. The Director of Corporate Funding is the enterprise process owner for external funding and responsible for debt capital markets activity, leading the cash deployment strategy, managing corporate bank and rating agency relationships, overseeing the forecasting process and providing executive-level reporting. It is a unique opportunity to be an integral member of a leading global corporate finance organization, and a leader of a high performing team of finance professionals.
What You Will Do:
Provide leadership and vision to diverse and high performing team
Lead the development and execution for dividend and share repurchase strategies, includes delivering strategic capital deployment recommendations to executive leadership and tactical execution plans focused on maximizing shareholder value
Determine the timing and type of funding actions needed - such as bond issuances, commercial paper or alternative funding strategies; maintain enterprise financial strength through debt management
Manage Caterpillar's interest rate and deferred compensation plan risk through the usage of financial derivatives, such as interest rate swaps and total return swaps
Provide stewardship of the enterprise revolving credit facility
Lead the preparation of materials for executive leadership and board presentations
Leads continuous improvement projects for the Funding team to simplify and standardize the processes under management. Implement best in class reporting processes through standardization, automation and a streamlined reporting structure
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Treasury, FP&A, Accounting, Tax and Legal to ensure alignment of funding-related initiatives
Manage and maintain strong relationships with external business partners, including rating agencies and Caterpillar's global corporate bank group
Ensure all Sarbanes-Oxley, SEC, and other external and internal controls and reporting requirements are fulfilled
Establish and maintain appropriate treasury policies

Expert knowledge in effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning
Expert knowledge in organizational leadership and leading diverse teams
Extensive experience in techniques and tools that promote effective analysis
Expert knowledge in ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
Extensive experience in relationship management techniques
Expert knowledge in effective team building techniques
Extensive experience in asset and liability management tools, techniques and business practices
Expert knowledge in financial market products and regulatory considerations
Expert knowledge in treasury management methods, tools and techniques
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or business administration
Previous supervisory experience with 10+ years in financial analysis, debt capital markets, trade finance, banking, liquidity management or financial strategic planning
Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and effective communication, complemented by advanced proficiency in productivity enhancing software and apps
Demonstrated initiative, leadership, judgment, and decision-making skills
The ability to prioritize workflow and accomplish tasks across the organization through collaboration and delegation
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Demonstrated commitment to ensuring a strong compliance culture (organization, policies and procedures) highly desired
Proven track record of demonstrating courage and emotional intelligence, including a high level of responsibility, initiative and stress tolerance.
Additional Details:
This position will be based onsite in our Dallas, TX HQ.
Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

This position is eligible for stock or other equity grants pursuant to Caterpillar's long-term incentive plan
Summary Pay Range:
$185,400.00 - $278,160.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
