Design & Planning: define project requirements, create wireframes, and set up automation tools - Detailed project plan and requirements documented in plain language - Interactive wireframes/mockups for the management portal, public portal, and mobile app - User stories and use cases that demonstrate how economists and statisticians will interact with the system - Automation to integrate using web API and web scraping 2. Management Portal: develop a functional internal portal for data management and visualization - A fully functional management portal (front-end) where staff can input and view indicator data - Interactive dashboards and visualizations that show how data will be managed and updated - Demonstrable workflows (e.g., indicator creation, data upload, role-based access simulation) 3. Public Portal: build a public-facing platform with interactive dashboards and real-time data - Development of a user-friendly public portal with interactive dashboards, country profiles, and data discovery tools - Real-time or near-real-time visualizations and charts that display key indicators - A design that highlights data dissemination in a way that’s visually appealing to non-technical users 4. Mobile App: prototype a mobile version focusing on core public portal features and offline use - A demonstrable mobile app prototype that mirrors key functions of the public portal (e.g., country profiles, interactive charts) - Responsive design with a focus on core features, including offline capabilities for essential data 5. Launch, Integration & Training: integrate systems, conduct testing, ensure data governance, and train users - Assist in launching livelife version of Public Portal on UN servers and Mobile App, including liaising with UN OICT in support of the launch and support the mobile launch, including Google/Apple app store registration and other necessary actions for implementing the mobile launch. - Integration of all components ensuring smooth data flow across management, public, and mobile interfaces - End-to-end testing according to data quality principles, preservation, governance and maintenance with results presented in user-friendly reports - Ensure data preservation, governance and maintenance - Comprehensive documentation and training sessions for the statistician on maintenance and regular data update. Any activities assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications/special skillsAdvanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, data science, data engineering or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in developing data management system for the web and mobile devices: developing online dashboard application is required.
