Job Description

Salary: $217,520 - 415,760 per year Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, economics, finance, actuarial sciences, engineering, or a similar quantitative field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in predictive analytics or data analysis, including at least 6 years in training and validating statistical, physical, machine learning, and advanced analytics models.
  • At least 6 years of experience with a dynamic scripted language (such as Python or R), focusing on developing clear, well-documented, and commented code for transparency.
  • Subject matter expertise in classical supervised modeling concepts and technologies like linear/logistic models, discriminant analysis, support vector machines, decision trees, and forest models.
  • Expertise in unsupervised modeling techniques such as k-means clustering, hierarchical clustering, neighbor algorithms, and DBSCAN.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in building, deploying, and managing advanced analytics solutions, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that enhance business value.
  • Strong project management experience, including the ability to foresee and manage project milestones, risks, and obstacles effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate and escalate any potential issues to leadership appropriately, while guiding and mentoring junior technical staff.
  • Significant experience influencing complex technology decisions for both technical and nontechnical audiences across all levels and in cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience leading business or product/portfolio transformations using advanced analytics.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, research, and define large-scale, cross-functional AI/ML use cases in partnership with business leaders and executive peers.
  • Oversee the complete development process for scalable, efficient, automated AI/ML solutions.
  • Apply deep expertise to enhance modeling techniques related to emerging business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT architects to design, implement, monitor, and scale advanced AI/ML solutions that evolve prototypes into innovative products, services, and features.
  • Ensure AI/ML solutions are developed following the best practices and sound methodologies of the industry.
  • Work with model risk partners to cultivate a culture of compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Design extensive, complex information assets that facilitate applied analytics.
  • Partner with engineering and data architects to maintain well-governed, documented, and controlled datasets from both internal and external sources.
  • Seek opportunities to simplify, modernize, and standardize the model development lifecycle.
  • Provide expert technical support by assessing vendor acquisitions.
  • Lead or participate in communities of practice, talent development initiatives, and technical interview panels to uplift recruitment standards.
  • Clearly convey intricate analytical and technical concepts to diverse audiences, fostering data literacy and shaping business priorities.
  • Provide technical supervision for the creation and upkeep of a reliable library of reusable, production-quality algorithms and supporting code.
  • Build and sustain academic and industry relationships for research initiatives.
  • Represent the company at significant internal and external technology and advanced analytics conferences.
  • Ensure all risks associated with business operations are effectively identified, assessed, monitored, and managed in line with risk and compliance policies.
