Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware,and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Position:Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist Location:Part Time and Full Time Caseloads available in our clinic located in Fairfax, VA JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family. Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings. Work is performed in clinic based settings Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed Participate in monthly agency staff meeting Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines. Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work. REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology 1-2 years of experience working with children birth 21 is preferred, we are open to training new graduates Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train. The ability to climb and descend staircases The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods Compensation: Part-Time hourly up to $85 Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. $2,000 sign on bonus included!
