Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
End Client: Public Sector
Location: The primary place of performance is HYBRID, with 2-3 days per week at the Baltimore Office located at 201 West Preston Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201, or a delegated satellite location.
Pay Rate: $47-$55/hr
Background: The end customer needs a Senior Business Analyst to assist in driving multiple Major IT Development Projects over the next few years. Consultant will be deployed to support the implementation efforts needed to complete current state assessments and workflow documentation to ensure that business operations are clearly understood. You play a critical role in supporting the business teams, facility project teams, and other external stakeholders by leveraging their subject matter expertise to drive best practices and ensure requirements are implemented to fulfill the business need. Customer is embarking on various modernization projects including but not limited to the implementation of case management systems across multiple business areas. The technology landscape is complex and there are many interdependencies that may require resources to work cross-functionally across multiple projects and/or business units. Resources will typically be assigned to a core project team. However, work on multiple projects may be required based on workload, allocation, and specialization.
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role within our organization, acting as a bridge between business needs and technological solutions. This position is responsible for the collection and definition of requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive successful project outcomes.
Duties/ Responsibilities: - Collaborating with business leaders to pose inquiries and clarify requirements while ensuring alignment with
- organizational goals and requirements when reviewing technology solutions.
- Reviewing contracts for technical implications.
- Completing exception and pre-approval documents as required.
- Working with stakeholders and technical teams to craft effective solutions addressing business needs,
- including creating detailed functional specifications and use cases.
- Acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and
- understanding of requirements.
- Staying up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to propose innovative
- solutions and enhance business processes.
Education: - A bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is desirable.
General Experience: - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
Specialized Experience: - A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Profound knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Competency in requirements gathering, process modeling, and data analysis.
- Experience with business analysis tools and software (e.g., Visio, JIRA, Confluence)
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
