Job Title: Surgical Technologist – General OR
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $45 – $50 per hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Surgical Technologist – General OR for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to hospital policies and AORN standards.
Perform scrub technician functions across all specialties and surgical services.
Pass instruments and sterile supplies to the surgical team; assist with retractors, sutures, and sponge/instrument counts.
Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately for laboratory analysis.
Assist in applying surgical dressings and ensure availability of required instruments and equipment.
Support patient transport, positioning, and transfer to recovery areas.
Operate and maintain sterilizers, lighting, suction, and diagnostic equipment as needed.
Safely prepare and label medications under the direction of the surgeon and RN.
Participate in room turnover, restocking, and equipment maintenance.
Contribute to orientation and training of new OR staff.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Surgical Technologist program.
National Certification (NBSTSA) required within 12 months of graduation; must maintain certification.
Certification must be accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by both the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.
Current BLS Certification required.
Strong orthopedic surgery experience preferred .
Excellent communication skills and attention to patient safety.
